Watercoloured Well was drilled in 2011 when interdisciplinary artist Brandstifter invited some friends to celebrate his birthday with a free floating music improvisation at Walpodenakademie Mainz. Next time the free collective came together in summer 2012 for KunstZwergFestival in Zweibruecken. Brandstifter (tapes, toys, voc.), Johannes Lauxen (open tuning delay guit.), Carsten Olbrich (analogue synth, voc.), Tanja Roolfs (bass), Barbara Roeßler (Freizeichnen), the sound & loop poet Dirk HuelsTrunk and the guests Dr. Treznok (double flute) and Lars Wehr (guitar) played a minimal musique concrète like set in the gallery of the Rinckenhof. As the chords in this track from the Rinckenhof-Session reminded Brandstifter of the song „I am Damo Suzuki“ by the Fall so he played on words and called „I am Damo’s Szuzuki“. The whole session was released under the name „Weibzruecken“ on double tape by EBUS MUSIC in 2021, their 3rd release after a CD-album and a contribution to a sampler by Monochrome Vision. www.facebook.com/watercolouredwell www.ebusmusic.com
